About Me

Hi, my name is Emily Cochenour (like a Kosher pickle with a ’n’) and I grew up on a horse farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. I fell in love with the beach as a little girl and would travel to the beaches of Virginia or North Carolina almost every summer. My love for international travel didn’t start until college when I traveled to Costa Rica with two girlfriends for a dance conference. It was here that my love for travel truly began!

After my college years came to a close and I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Shenandoah University, I was able to experience several awesome cities of the U.S.  I lived in New Orleans, Las Vegas & Los Angeles over a period of 4 years. During those 4 years, I was able to also travel to the Philippines & Thailand. In 2009, I reconnected with my high school sweetheart and moved back to Central VA. Jeremiah and I were married in 2012 in the Outer Banks, NC right on the beach surrounded by our friends and family with sand in their toes. We honeymooned in Mexico and had my first snorkeling adventure which I fell in love with! As a family, we have traveled to Jamaica, Domincan Republic & Walt Disney World. Jeremiah and my step-daughter Chloe traveled on a mission trip with our church to Haiti and were greatly affected by serving the kids at Mission of Hope.

I am a Christian, a wife, a mom & a step-mom, a dancer, and a lover of travel!
